After a two-year pause due to COVID-19 and a track and field renovation at Eastview High School, we are excited to offer EVAA Track & Field again! Events will include sprints, hurdles, jumping and throwing events, and relay races! (Older kids will also have the opportunity for longer race events and more advanced field events.)
We need parent volunteers and coaches to make the program succeed! Please reach out to Program Director Shawna Nelsen-Wills at 612-408-2860 with any questions. Many of the high school track athletes are also helping out—giving our younger kids some great role models and expert advice!
The season started on Monday, April 4th and will run through the beginning of June. (No problem to join in mid-way!) Practices are held on Monday and Friday evenings (either at Eastview track or at Eagan Community Center depending on weather), with track meets starting in late April. Meets will be held on Friday nights for Pre-K/K and 1st through 3rd grade and some Saturday mornings for the older youth. A full schedule will be sent to all registrants once registration closes.
Registration closes on Friday, April 15th.
We are always looking for coaches to assist throughout the season. If you are interested please email to let us know:
Please consider joining our board. We are continually looking for enthusiastic parents with fresh ideas to help us make the track program bigger and better each year! The time commitment is pretty minimal - a few hours a month a few months a year.
Please contact me directly at 612-290-0874 or email at email@example.com.
Follow the weather. We'll update you on whether a practice or meet is cancelled due to inclemental weather.
