Our mission is to deliver a diverse range of well managed sports programs to the families living within the Eastview High School enrollment boundaries as well as the city of Apple Valley. EVAA strives to provide a quality athletic experience to kids of all ages and capabilities with a focus on sportsmanship.
We seek continuous improvements in developing, promoting, and administering youth sports opportunities and are proud to have become one of the premier youth sports organizations in the Twin Cities. The heart and soul of EVAA are the people who volunteer their time, energy, and talents. We encourage you to get involved!
EVAA strives to provide a quality athletic experience to kids of all ages and capabilities with a focus on sportsmanship. Our Board works with our programs to bring our community opportunities to gather, engage and support young athletes. We’ve all been watching the COVID-19 situation since the beginning and many of our programs had to cancel their seasons due to the pandemic and out of an abundance of caution.
During that time, we have been working hard to understand best practices and opportunities to give our kids the chance to move back to organized sports. It’s safe to say that we’ve learned a lot.
All levels of our government and our governing sports organizations are working on rules, guidelines and regulations to enable us to play the sports we love. EVAA created a task force early on that has worked to evaluate and make the best decisions possible locally. We’ve engaged with Eastview High School, with our program leaders and with our City leaders.
We’re excited to share that, per Governor Walz’s latest Executive Order, youth organized sports are able to slowly return. Our Traveling Baseball, Fusion Fastpitch Softball and Soccer programs have all contributed to our EVAA and sport-specific safety guidelines, which are currently approved by the City of Apple Valley.
All other programs are working to complete the required plans prior to restarting their programs. There are still a lot of unknowns, including when competitive games or indoor activities may be able to be held. That said, we are looking forward to our kids in Apple Valley having an opportunity to reconnect with friends, coaches and the sports they love in a safe manner.
We appreciate all the support and patience from our EVAA community during the past few months. If you are wondering more about specific sports and their plans, please reach out to their board or visit their website. We’ve included additional links for more information on COVID-19 and organized youth sports in the following section.
