Q1: What is an e-mail list
A1: An e-mail list is a means to send an e-mail broadcast to all e-mail addresses on the list. They are very useful for sending out information about scheduling, events or other important information.

Q2: How do I get onto an e-mail ilst
A2: You can subscribe to a list using the E-Mail list subscription pages located on the home page and the home page of each program. In addition, when you register online, the process will automatically make a subscription request.

Q3: How do I get off of a list
A3: You can use the same E-Mail subscription pages tat you use to get onto a list.

Q4: What prevents someone from just adding my adddress to the list
A4: The subscription process uses a technique called double opt-in. This means that after a subscription request is made, you must confirm the request from the e-mail address subscribed. The subscription process will send you an e-mail containing a link to a web page. By clicking on this link you are confirming that you wish to be on the list.

Q5: When I click on the link in the confirmation e-mail I get an error message
A5: Thi s is usually because the link has expired. Requests are only good for 10 days. Please go to the subscription page and try again.

Q6: I got an e-mail asking me to confirm a request but I never made a request
A6: If you recently registered online a request was autonatically made for you. If you didn't register online or do a request then someone may have tried to add you to a list. If you don't want to be on the list, just delete the e-mail.

Q7: I am an AOL user and I don't want to receive any more e-mails. Can I just mark the e-mails as SPAM
A7: Please do not report our e-mails as Spam. Doing so risks causing all AOL users from being deleted from the lists. AOL has adopted a Spam policy that is unreasonable and overly protective. Their policy has the potential to prevent valid messages from reaching you due to the actons of others. If you don't want to be on the list, please unsubscribe. Too many Spam complaints may result in all AOL users being removed from our lists.

Q8: My e-mail address is going to change. What should I do?
A8: Please go to the subscription page and subscribe with your new address. We would also appreciate it if you would delete your old address.
