Eastview Athletic Youth Lacrosse

Welcome to Eastview Athletic Youth Lacrosse!

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in Minnesota! It is a fun, active, fast paced game and an easy sport to transfer to at any age level!

Benefits of the Eastview Program:

  • Spring season consists of professionally run clinics to help your player build their skills!
  • All teams will be staffed with one non-parent coach with previous coaching or playing experience. Many of our coaches are previous Eastview players!
  • While our program is parent run, lacrosse does not require mandatory volunteer hours!
  • No additional fundraising requirements!
  • No weekend league games during the summer!
  • Loaner gear is available if your player is new to the sport!
  • Eastview teams have typically performed very well at the youth and high school levels.  Every year, we have new players try out lacrosse at every age group.

Volunteers

We need volunteers to run a successful youth lacrosse program!

Board Members:  We are always looking for new volunteers to help with the coordination of the season.  Please visit our Board page for open positions.

Season volunteers:

  • Coaches & Assistant Coaches - while certain teams utilize paid coaches, parent volunteers are needed to provide sideline support and run drills.  Coaches and Assistant Coaches may be required to complete Safe Sport training.
  • Team Managers - manage the team schedule, communicate with parents, coordinate team activities.
  • Chill Managers - US Lacrosse requires each team to designate a sideline manager tasked with keeping a healthy and calm parent cheering section at each game.

COVID-19 Updates

The MDH guidance for outdoor sports was updated April 2021.

1.  Masks for players are still recommended.  The updated guidance requires masks when players are not actively playing/practicing or cannot socially distance.  Social distancing is challenging in lacrosse.

2. Spectators are not recommended at practices.  For the younger age groups, this may be challenging.  Please socially distance and wear a mask.  This applies to games as well.

3. If your player has tested positive for COVID-19 or has been notified of close contact, please notify your coach immediately.
