2018 EVAA FOOTBALL - PROGRAM UPDATE

Welcome to the EVAA Football home page.

The 2018 EVAA Football Board is already hard at work this off-season ensuring the 2018 season is another successful one.

The future of EVAA/EVHS football is a bright one.

In our continuing efforts to improve the football experience,  EVAA plans to partner our Minors and Majors divisions in the regular season with VAA, in an effort to create some additional parody and match-ups.

We at EVAA will always encourage physical, athletic, competitive play at all in all sports at all levels, but the fundamental development and safety of our young athletes, is first and foremost. EVAA has a continuing philosophy that "winning" isn't defined simply by the scoreboard.

Football is a sport that not only develops athleticism, but the character and self-esteem of it's players like no other. There is a strong emphasis on player participation, developing players as young men and proper coaching in the techniques of playing football the right way.

There is always a risk of injury when participating in any sport. No level of protective gear can prevent all injuries. In 2018, football seems to be at the fore-front of these concerns. EVAA provides the very latest in youth helmet technology available for the use of our players at no cost; in an effort to minimize any such potential.

We place the safety and well being of our players above all else. All coaches are concussion certified, and have access to player development models provided by USA Football, and Positive Coaching Alliance (in partnership with VAA).

It is our goal for every player to return to play again next year. We will challenge every coach to deliver a positive experience to all players, without exception.

2018 EVAA FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM

Need-based financial aid is available for qualifying families. All financial aid  applications require EVAA Governing Board approval. Financial aid approval only covers registration fees. Any additional fees (uniforms, equipment, etc,.) are the players responsibility.

Please click on the "Registrations" tab on the home page, then click the link to the financial aid application at the top right. Once completed, an EVAA representative will contact you regarding your financial aid/scholarship status.

Should you have additional questions, you may contact the Football Program Director.

2018 EVAA FOOTBALL FUNDRAISING

EVAA participations fees alone are insufficient to provide financial support for the football program.

The football program holds a Steak-dinner in early Sept. in an effort to off-set some of the additional program costs, and keep the registration costs affordable for all. All players, at all age levels are required to sell ticket to this event.

Currently, this is the only fund-raising event, but we are always looking for additional, cost-effective fundraising options. Should you have any ideas, please contact the Football board.
