Eastview Traveling Baseball

Baseball & COVID-19

Preparing for June 1

As we prepare for practices to start after June 1, we:

  1. Finalized our plan with the City of Apple Valley, EVAA and VAA. This plan has now been approved. Please review it thoroughly (Baseball-specific details start on Page 8).
  2. Trained our coaches and informed our parents on the guidelines for baseball this season. The slides from those discussions are now available here

You, as parents, should review the guidance from the State of Minnesota:

  1. Minnesota’s Stay Safe Plan (we are included under Organized Youth Sports)
  2. Minnesota’s Guidance for Social Distancing in Youth Sports
  3. Minnesota’s Back to the Diamond Proposal (please note, this is NOT approved, but is a draft at this point. It will give you an idea of how our state sports organizations are thinking about the 2020 seasons).

At this time, we do not have any guidance or timeline for when games may begin. This includes tournaments, which likely wouldn't return until after games are approved and larger groups are allowed. All we know is that we can give the players an opportunity for organized player development. Should games/tournaments not be played this season, the Traveling Baseball Board will review the financials and may revise season fees based upon the expenses actually incurred. We will communicate transparently and openly regarding this as we know more about the season.
