Update: 3/28/2020

Gov. Tim Walz has ordered Minnesotans to stay at home for the next two weeks, as part of the state's ongoing efforts to control the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19 disease.

The goals of the order include:

  • Build out hospital capacity

  • Increase access to ventilators and other life-saving equipment

  • Increase testing for COVID-19

  • Address personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages for health workers

  • Plan for how to protect and care for vulnerable populations in coming months

  • Assess new data to inform mitigation strategy

In response to recommendations from the Governor and state health leaders, EVAA is implementing the following actions and continuing until further notice:

  • All EVAA teams and programs will be shut down for the next two weeks. We will reassess the situation during the month of April and formulate plans based on information from the State of Minnesota, School District 196 and Apple Valley city officials.

  • EVAA can’t tell the future and we want the best opportunities for our kids. We’ve chosen to stay in step with state and local agencies while other organizations simply shut down. While this comes at a cost, we believe our role in this crisis is to be ready to offer our youth a safe and structured place to play and develop when feasibly possible.  When the space is available and you’re ready to cut your children loose, EVAA be there.

If there are any changes, we would notify programs and families through the website, social media or email blast:
