We have secured the St. Olaf Facility for our 2012 Traveling Baseball Tryouts which will be held all day Sunday, March 18 and the evening of Monday, March 19. ISD 196 Spring Break is March 26-30.

Please note that the tryout times have been finalized and were announced at the March 13 parent meeting. 

As of March 13, the FINAL tryout schedule by age is as follows:

10, 11, 12 and 14 year olds: Sunday March 18, 2012

11 year olds: Check-in at 7:45 am; tryouts from 8:30 - 11:00 am

12 year olds: Check-in at 10:15 am; tryouts from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

10 year olds Group A (last name begins with A-K): Check-in at 12:45 pm; tryouts from 1:30 - 4:00 pm

10 year olds Group B (last name begins with L-Z): Check-in at 3:15 pm; tryouts from 4:00 - 6:30 pm

14 year olds: Check-in at 5:45 pm; tryouts from 6:30 - 9:00 pm
 

13 and 15 year olds: Monday March 19, 2012

13 year olds: Check-in at 4:15 pm; tryouts from 5:00 - 7:30 pm

15 year olds: Check-in at 6:45 pm; tryouts from 7:30 – 10:00 pm

Eastview Traveling Baseball does everything it can to ensure a fair tryout process and to keep down costs and time commitment for those who conduct tryouts as well as participants.

Tryouts are typically held at the Tostrud Center at St. Olaf College, which provides an excellent facility at a cost much lower ($25 per participant) than other available options ($100 per participant). Because of this we need to schedule tryouts during St. Olaf's Spring Break, which sometimes coincides with District 196 Spring Break.

Eastview Traveling Baseball conducts tryouts with the assistance of impartial outside evaluators who possess the knowledge to evaluate a player's skill at a particular level.
