Eastview Athletic Association Traveling Basketball has developed the 5,000 Shot Club and 10,000 Shot Club as an off-season program to encourage boys and girls who are playing EVAA Traveling Basketball to do more shooting. The Shot Club program will be offered to current traveling players in 4th - 8th grade. Good and consistent basketball shooters are made in the off-season through proper technique and repetition.
Players keep track of the number of attempted shots between April 15 and October 15 (6 months) during the off-season by distance and type of shot. Those players who cross the 5,000 or 10,000 “attempted” shot threshold during the six month program receive a variety of awards and recognition for their accomplishment.
