Referee Information

Welcome to the Eastview Athletic Association Soccer Referee page.

There are several steps to becoming a referee for the EVAA Soccer program. The first is to get your certification from the Minnesota State Referee Committee. You need to have a minimum of a grade 9 certification in order to participate as a referee for EVAA. Certification requires paying a registration fee to the United States Soccer Foundation (USSF) and an administrative fee for the State of Minnesota.

This is the Web site we use for scheduling or soccer games and where you will sign-up for the games you want to referee.

If you have any questions about becoming a referee, please send an email to Ken Blomquist at kenblomquist@charter.net.

Pay is $15.00 - $20.00 per game for assistant referees and $20.00 - $30.00 center referees. $10.00 for trainees, who will be paired up with an experienced ref.

Please make calls with authority. Loudly blow the whistle. Be clear in your voice and actions in regards to communicating call. Please meet with and clarify any concerns with coaches prior to start of game. Coaches, parents, and players have signed EVAA code of conduct which includes provision for being respectful to referees. Please inform Ken if you have problems with anyone in violation of code ASAP.
