A big thank you to all coaches who volunteer their time in support of our program!

All Eastview soccer coaches must complete the following tasks prior to engaging in any formal activities with their team:

1) Complete a criminal background check by following instructions below on this page. Background checks must be completed annually and must be submitted for each individual sport for tracking purposes (EVAA is not charged extra for checks performed on the same person for multiple sports).

2) Complete online concussion training initially and once every 3 years as of September 1, 2011, in accordance with Minnesota State Statute.

Concussion training is available for free online at www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/online_training.html.

 When you have completed this training you should access the concussion registration by clicking on the top navigation link for EVAA Board - Concussion Policy or by following this link.

The documents below form the "Coaches Playbook". This Playbook is under continued development and your feedback is welcome. The Playbook was provided last year in hard copy form to Pre-K and K as well as 1st/2nd grade coaches.

If you want to print your own Playbook from these documents, print the "Main Playbook" document and insert the other files in the following areas:

1) After "Rules of the game" (page 13 of Playbook) insert "Age Group formats" and "Simplified Soccer Rules".

2) After "Creating a Practice Plan" (page 15) insert U6 and U8 activities. 

3) After "Coaching Contacts (page 32) insert the remaining documents from this section.

If you are a first time coach and do not have a full understanding of the rules of the game, please read the three-page "Simplified Soccer Rules" document as a starting point. The full Playbook (on this page) provides numerous drills and other information that will also be very helpful. All feedback is welcome as we want to provide coaches with everything they need to be successful. Thanks for coaching!
