2008-2009 Winter Clinics
This winter EVAA Softball is offering three excellent clinic opportunities, one for girls in grades 1-6, one for girls in grades 7-12 and one for beginning pitchers. See below for details. Remember - it is never too late to join a clinic - all are welcome!!!
Winter Clinic at the Irish Dome
What: 11 hour softball clinics focused on teaching the fundamentals of fastpitch softball.
For Whom: Any girl currently in grades 1 – 6 who wants to have fun playing softball! This clinic is especially well suited for girls who have never played softball before but would like to give it a try – ALL GIRLS ARE WELCOME!
By Whom: Members of the Eastview High School varsity and junior varsity teams plus coaches from the EVAA softball program
When: :30pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday evenings November 5th through March 18th. If you didn't start on November 5th you are definitely still welcome to come join us, its never too late to participate in the clinics.
Cost: $50.00 (Payable to "EVHS Fastpitch" at the door)
What to Expect: What to Expect: Players will get the opportunity to fine-tune their current skills and to develop new ones. The focus will be on acquiring good softball habits, including the basic mechanics of a quality fastpitch swing, a quality throw, infield and outfield skills and base running. Bring all your softball equipment to each clinic (glove, helmet, bat, etc.). The clinic will be conducted by a variety of EVAA fastpitch coaches. PARENTS – if you are considering coaching next spring, we encourage you to attend the clinics to help out and learn the same techniques that are taught for Eastview softball.
Where: Irish Dome, located off of County Road 3 (Robert Trail) behind the Rosemount Community Center, and just north of Rosemount High School.

BEGINNING PITCHING
WHAT: An introductory look at the art of fastpitch pitching.
WHO: Anyone age 7 – 12.
WHERE: Eastview High School South Gym.
WHY: To develop young pitchers so they are ready to begin the season.
REGISTRATION: Register when you show up at the gym.
COST: $50.00. Make checks payable to EVHS Softball Booster Club.

WHEN: All sessions (13 total) are on Sundays. The first session starts November 2nd 2008 and the last session ends February 22nd 2009.
(NOTE: It is very important that you be there at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. These sessions will be very structured so we need to start ON TIME with the WHOLE GROUP!!!)
